I made reference to Jamie's latest fashion quirk a couple of days ago, but it occurred to me that it might be fun to provide some photographic evidence of this new fashion trend. Behold his sleepy-time mismatched socks:
During the day, he still wears matching socks, but when we change his socks at night (which we generally do because the boy has crazy sweaty feet for such a little dude) we have to put a different colour on each foot. And generally speaking, one of the colours must be orange. Needless to say, I've had to go out and purchase a few more pairs of orange socks.
I'm curious to see how long this fashion trend lasts...so far he's been donning mismatched socks before bedtime for about 3 weeks. I'm also wondering if the trend will start to spill over into his daytime wear. Will I be sending him off to daycare one of these days in mismatched socks? Who knows? I'm okay with it, if that's what he wants. I'm all for a little harmless non-conformity.

My daughter has been wearing mismatched socks for years now - day and night. Apparantly it's the cool new thing to do!
Oh no! You mean my 2-year-old knows the fashion trends and I don't? Better get used to this, I guess...
Hi , I've just recently started following your blog and had to comment today.
My daughter has been wearing mismatched socks since she was about 3 (she's now 8) not every day, but when the mood strikes her.
Two summers ago, Grandma bought my girl two pairs of croc shoes. One orange the other pink and guess what? That's right, one pink one orange shoe became her standard every day attire. Everyone thought it was so adorable. Then one day, out of the blue she decided to wear both the same colour (blew our minds, she did!)
Now this summer, she has new crocs, turquoise blue and lime green... and the trend has returned!
Love your blog!
Looks like Jamie has lots of good company!
Thanks for the kind words about my blog, Om Mama!
